Each KoolShade screen comes with a material guarantee of 10 years when accompanied with a KoolShade maintenance contract, so therefore even buildings exposed to the harshest climatological conditions can trust KoolShade to stand the test of time. Currently in the USA there are still KoolShade installations installed in the 1950s and 1960s, showing that KoolShade has a lifespan of up to 10 times greater than other established solar control systems.

The KoolShade polyester coating showed no adverse effects when exposed to the Akzo Nobel 240 hour salt water immersion test and 480 hour salt spray test.
